if a male t's molted into a grown male how long does it live my cousin told me it's about 5 months.please advise

It depends on various factors including the conditions it is kept in. 6months to 2 years (and possibly longer for some sp.) has been recorded.

I got a B vagans MM from Scarab in May if memory serves me right.

I gave it a nice home and the same regular maintenance as my other Ts. I was expecting it to die during a molt, but it struggled to eat. I tong fed it, but it got harder and harder to grab the food, sometime the cricket / roach got away, sometime it just ignored it or just got a fright and ran the other way.

I could see it's abdomen shrinking, it struggled to move, got very in-active.

It died last week. Just went into a death-curl. so it was with me for 6 months, and it was mature for quite a while before that...

I still have a MM G. porteri that I bought as a MM in May 2009, I am not sure sure how long before I bought him he matured.

He's been going strong for over 18 months now and is currently out on a breeding loan.

There are lots of influencing factors. Even keeping an MM at a lower temperature rather than a higher temperature can prolong their lives too.

all depends on the spcies of the t.
lasiodora and brachypelma species last around a year where males like grammostola
can last around two and a half years.
some mature males can molt again after maturing. but thats very rare and theres a good chance he gets stuck in the molt because of his tribal hooks=]
