Hey guys.
Okay so I was walking around outside and checked my pool (Which has very little water in it and I always see these little things swimming around the bottom. So today I finally decided to investigate. I got the pool net and started sweeping along the bottom and put some of these goggas in a little tub with water. They seem to be Dragonfly Nymphs. Now I was thinking about keeping them for a while and studying there movements and the way they eat. I have since then put them in a little fish bowl. Now, what I want to know is, how can I keep them? Do I just leave them in the bowl with a few hiding spots and deco and just feed them? Or should I just put them back? I was even hoping to keep some till they reach adulthood.

I've decided to put them back in the Pool. Can we close this thread then.

Don't know much about their care but I know they bite like tiny pitbulls... while swimming in a shallow dam, trying to catch small barbell I took a nip from one of these guys on my chest - still have the scar. I stood up out of the water and had to pry it out of my skin.

Oooh. That sounds like it hurt. Well I know they bite hard as they have mouth parts that shoot out at a high speed. The mouth parts are called a mask and it has a harpoon like edge to it

We kept a variety in Germany until they turned into dragonflies. Awesome to observe, easy to keep. They're happy as long as the water has got enough oxygen (they've got gills), and as long as they get food. They eat a lot!

Will you give them something like fish food? So you would keep them in a fish tank.. Air bubbles, cover and food!
