But on a serious note, i live 245 km from pretoria and 210 km from Randburg and we are willing to drive but then it has to be worth our while and adding talks and discussions makes it un missable (if there is sutch a word)!!

A dedicated invert show focussing on T's is a great idea. It should be on a Saturday, one day only, with talks, a show, and an auction in the afternoon followed by a braai. The bar can be opened at the start of the auction - it makes bidding better and less painful. The auction must be of nice to have T's and the entries advertised well in advance.

I think a show that displays a wide range of species, as well as sections for best prepared habitat, biggest T, etc would be a good idea, with sponsored prizes.

I am looking forward to this event, and will start saving my money!

I am supportive of the Auction Idea.

It was great last year, and I am sure we can develop the concept into a very flourishing event to be circled on everyone's calenders.

We have too many expos already An auction is different. It's something fresh for the hobby, I think. Everyone else does expos.

However,it would be nice to get more people selling T's at the expos so there's more to see there.

Hi so many questions to attend to. YES we can make the prices low (stands) fyi The Hall is for free. Wrt the availability of T,s for that time ......we will have to do with what is available. The show/expo will be there ....not to out do the reptile expo but to further the HOBBY.....................................................................................................Scarab and I will be running the beer tent. ha ha ha :lol: :silly: :woohoo: :silly:

If we have some talks, what about asking Patrick Gildenhuys to give a talk on southern African theraposids? This after someone from Nature Conservation has spoken about the legal aspect eg Ian Engelbrecht?
