OK, so here's something not too oftenly discussed.

Catching pinheads, wether it be crickets or roaches.

Since catching these can be a rather nerve testing operation if you don't have a real plan of actiion.
So since most beginners buy themselves a sling and got no real idea that very small food are going to be needed, I would like to get some input from the more experienced keepers on how these very small critters are caught buy thee.

Personaly I have developed myself a plan of action with regard to this.
Firstly I developed myself a "catch a tiny critter" device.
It consist of a large type of straw ( I used one of those you get from KFC when buying them krush drinkey thingeys ) I then searched my wifes linnen cupboard ( don't tell her please ) and found some fine lace curtain. of wich I then cut a small piece that could fit over the one side of the straw. I used insulation tape to tape it to the end.

Now all I do is blow a small portion of the container in wich my small crickets or roaches are in clean and then wait for one unlucky critter to walk there.
I suck it up withe the straw and blow it out hard onto a table, this knocks it out for a while, (if left too long it recovers tough) the pick it up and put it into the T's enclosure.

I hope this could help some newbies.
And hope to get some nice input from other members.

I normally spray a bit of water in..catch them easier once they are a bit .. on the wet side

I have a square container with a foldable plastic lid. All I do is lift the side and hold the container over the T enclosure, give it a shake and then one hops due to the sjake into the enclosure...works for me...then again RippeR's idea sounds good!!

As I have a few T's I catch the crickets by herding a cricket with an art brush into a small pill container and then close it to prevent it escaping. I fill all the pill containers (one container per spider) and can then have fun by just opening and dropping them in. It is so much more fun than catching a cricket and dropping it into the T enclose and again catching a cricket and dropping it in and so forth. Now other people who come to visit me like to help feed the T's. It is easy and less stressful, lol!!!!

Once upon a time I had over 4000 pin heads I use to use the paint brush method, the stroy and the egg cartains that I would just flick them off into another container.

But then one of the local pet stores sold me this device with purchased pin heads in side!
