Hey,does anybody know if we have any Air Filtration Systems available in S.A. and what would the price be for such a system?

I know that pure clean oxygen helps a great deal for Tarantula's that you want to grow really large,if memory serves me right.

Just a quick question. Is filtering the air going to increase the O2 quantity or do you plan on adding O2 after "purifying" the air?

There is a company in Joburg that install Air filters and makes Air purifiers, They will be able to put something together for your requirments.
My Grandfather got he's air purify from them. I will ask my Gran and see if she might remember what the company was called(I don't now what it is?)

But I think it is easier to just buy your self a Air con, you get the ones that cleans the air, All you have to do is clean/replace the filter ever other month and it works pretty well.

Also depending on amount of pure clean air you would like and the amount of money you willing to spend, you will need to seal your room nice and tite, if you want the benifit of Nice clean air!
Basically make your room a Box that will not allow dirty air from the outside.

As far as I know.It propably increases the level of making the oxygen more pure.

I think the level of our oxygen is 0.05(I don't know if it's by percentage or what)...where as at a time,it used to be 0.6

That's 12 times less in purity or whatever you want to call it,and I think for people like us living in large cities...it may even be less than 0.05 with all the air polution.

I don't know if a system like this would actually work.But it's worth a shot right?It would make for a great science project.Growing massive Tarantula's. :)

Super huge T's would be awesome! Just to clarify when refering to an air filter the thing that pops into my head is like what is on a car i.e. something that removes solid particles from the air but wouldn't have much effect on O2 levels. I think what you need to look at is an ozonizer they aren't usually cheap, but if memory serves me correctly they help to eliminate pollutants from the air which could possibly then increase the )2 levels. Google ozonizer and see what you think.
