Vinzy, I had all sorts of horrific childhood memories of Kruger, hence I never went back. My wife recently convinced me to take her there as she loves it. It took her a few bottles of wine before she convinced me. It was a spectacular surprise! They have done wonders with most camps, and besides that, the entire park was a joy! We even witnessed the moonlit mating habits of the... never mind...

Haha what happened the 1st time you went?

See i also want to go so i can also witness my own moonlit mating habits of... ;)

I was going to suggest all you guys come visit us up here by Kruger for a get-together weekend at one of the camps.

Kind of like a come and go as you please with braais at night weekend.

But with all that mating going on..sheesh!

Gosh I miss the place. The photos makes me want to go there again. That Bateleur is really handsome.

@Panama: Marloth is a great place! Except when there is a drought and lions cross the river and start chowing people, otherwise it's lovely :D

I'm on a farm close to Nelspruit, about 40 k's from the nearest gate to Kruger. I know of two other people on the forum from White River 20km away and a couple of T nutters in town. Would be great to have a get together in Kruger. Drive around during the day and have braai/kuier at night. Come and go as you please in the balmy Lowveld in the middle of freezing Joburg winter kind of thing?
