You will have a problem none the less, even if you do castrate the one dog or both they will always fight over the female, and all it takes is one of the dogs to nip at the other one and you have another fight or the female to nip at one of them.
The fact that they have had a fight they will also be an issue from now on, the behaver is set in stone, there pack states has been messed up now. So it wont help.
You either have to put the one dog down or get rid of it or you need to separate the dogs or get rid of the female or sterilize the female.

Ok, this is our pack in our neighborhood, Milio and afleck are top dogs in Hood, Afleck is 1st in commond and is castrated malio is 2nd and is not.
there is one female next next door to us, she comes to visit every night and some times during the day, when she is on heat all dogs from the hood come to her house and end up in our yard.
Even though afleck is castrated he still try to do the thing and he still wont to kill the other dogs if they nip towards him or milio.

If you castrate a dog early enough then a female on heat wont bug him, but if you do it to late in the dogs life you will always have a problem.

Sorry if this post looks mean Nick but you have an problem dog. The boerboel won the fight about 12 times before letting the other one go. In my opinion that is a problem dog.

meteor ... we will not put the dog down but they have been apart now and there seems to be no problems .
and yes both those males are problem dogs we will be spading them both and getting rid of the female i hope
befor you or any one els ask the reason im getting rid or the femal and keeping the males apart is the female is just some bitch dog that came into our yeard the business side so the gates always open then my mother owner of the business just decided to adoped her so thats the reason i will be getting rid of her . the males will clearly be kept apart because now the bore bull has tought the ridge back a lesson and will never stop like CASCADE said its in there blood there animals thats my idea is to get rid of the female and keep the males seperated.

ROZ.. the vet is having a field day the dog was in the OR for 5 hours and i think the bill is 6'000 or 11'000 in total
but at the end of the day i would pay double that for my animals if needed i am a real animal person and am willing to do anything for them.
