I know many people debate about tarantulas escaping and the problems that could arise with that, but what about feeder insects that escape, imagine a few roaches escaping and later a colony of them in your backyard....

Cascade brought this up once in the escaped t's thread.
It's a very valid concern!
As a responsible and educated T keeper we should all know that anything exotic should not be allowed to escape. We often forget that our feeders are also exotic.

LOL... This happened to me last week I left the lid off and a hole bunch of male roaches took off. Lucky it was in my T room and I had laid down poison for the ants the day before. Most died of poisoning the rest died in the T room humidity control units boiler.

Some how, no idea how, turks and dubia manage to get out their boxes. They cant climb, lids are sealed shut. The dubia especially, I sometimes fine big females crawling around. The air holes at the top aren't even big enough for them to escape. AAAnyway I have those green poison ant trap things that the roaches seem to enjoy and then die soon after.
