Yes! I have seen similar spiders often on the farm, never really looked at them THIS closely.. Will see if i can find some!

@Meteor: So you want an Empusa Pennata and a Portia Shultzi on top of one of the Deinopidae? :ohmy:

You sound like my ex wife ;) :lol:

I spend a lot of time walking in the bush, so I am sure I will come across some of these at some point.... ;)

I'll need a bit more than one.

The pennata is the Empusa species most common in Spain but they look exactly the same. We have 3 species of Empusa in SA. Hemiempusa capensis being the biggest. All have a range running from the coast near the Cape up past KZN.

They are pretty close to the famous Idolomantis diabolica.
