Read a study done a few months ago that linked Marijuana smoking to significantly lower IQ scores across the board.
Looks like it not only dumbs you down not just when you're on it but permanently.

I personally have an employee that works for me who regularly smokes weed and I can definately see the effects. It effects his thought process, productivity, etc.
I personally would not endorse the legalization of it, but that is my opinion.
Alchohol I feel is much worse though, hopefully they can pass the new laws where any reading is unacceptable.

If you can find that study I would love to read it, I'm pretty open minded to it, I watched a program and said that it's just a theory that weed lowers IQ.

When I was in Israel I went to a place to learn torah or the bible for 2 months with other foreigners. All of them with really high IQs, extremely intelligent individuals, all coming from a back round of smoking weed and drugs. I didn't see any affect on their mental or emotional plane.

Personally, I don't support the Smoking of Marijuana/Pot/Weed/Dagga, Cigarettes and the consumption of Alcohol. I have never felt the need to use either, so don't support the use of any of the above. I'd prefer it if it was all banned outright but that's my opinion

I know some people who smoke weed, it does affect a person whom smoke it the way most smokers smoke ciggarets. More casual smokers seem not to be affected the way heavy smokers do.

Not all natural products are good, you get some natural products that will kill you in a wiff, and that said, they sure was not intended to be smoked of all.

Just my opinion.

It would be good to class it under medicines though if it is to cure cancers.
And while theyre busy with the law, they can sommer make ciggarettes illegal, now that wouldnt be nice, it would be AWESOME.B)

I believe its to the extent the drug is used or abused...

For example looking at marijuana and alcohol using both casually, like weekends or at parties. I see no problem with this, I have a lot of friends that indulge in both and they are very intellectual people in the lines of Engineers, Doctors and so forth. Nothing wrong with their IQ, I believe it all has to do with the time you give your brain to re-cooperate and regenerate brain sells, I am no doctor so don't quote me on it, but this is how my body feels after a day or a weekend of abuse. So in my opinion for recreational use I see no problem.

Second example: Sk27 said his worker smokes ganja all the time and he can see his thought pattern is a bit retarded and stuff like that, I agree that if you are a chronic user of marijuana there would be ill effect just the same as the excessive abuse of alcohol. Abuse of both will result in the same.

You cant say this guy smokes weed all the time and he's a doffie that's why weed is bad for you, If that be the case the same is true for alcohol. For recreational use it should be seen in the same light as alcohol. I see Alcohol and marijuana in the same light and if weed be legalized it should be regulated in the same manner that alcohol are regulated.

The reason most people go off like "they should never legalise weed" and whatever stuff they say like the stuff "Wadrin" had to say in this thread.

I do not want to work with people who are high and have the processing power of 19 vootsak Pentium 1 desktop laughing the whole day. And put it simply there will be more deaths on the road.

This is just an example.

People like this has probably never even used the substance in question, they are raised to believe that this drug is so bad for you and if you use it you will become retarded, an social outcast and will become a hard drug user as the propaganda in the 60's wanted people to believe. These people are usually the people that like watching the rugby with a beer or a brandy and coke and he wants to tell me if I smoke a joint in the privacy of my own house I'm a danger to the world, what utter bs. It all has to do with your perception of the problem and what you choose to believe.

I am 100% for legalization of Marijuana.

It will probably never happen because it is a difficult substance to control.

I hope my rambling makes sense :drunk:
