Hello,

Does anyone know if it is legal to keep (and purchase) a Pied Crow in South Africa?
I think they are awesome birds and i know they are extremely intelligent and apparently more vocal than an African Grey.

I would love to keep one!

Any info would be great.

I saw one of these in our garden earlier this year. If they are indigenous then highly unlikely but I could be wrong

it is indigenous and therefore not legal to keep without permit!! but yes they do become fantastically naughty due to their intelligence!

The one I saw was huge and cool. A shame that they're illegal as they look awesome and would probably make good pets
