HI All

Just thought I would share .
I dont have pics though ,I dont have a camera near good enough to take Pics of thses small but cool spiders

I often get distracted ,when Im ment to be doing work HAHAHA .This mornign I was running around with my spray bottle set to spray a stream of water out and my tweezers catching the few flies .
Its works just got to hit them a couple of times ..

But I have 4 little mean "amazon worriors" jumping spider (Salticidae) liven in my flat on the walls and one on the window .Hence the running around catching food for them  .

If any of you have had the chance of keeping thses guys as pets or study/watching them when they hunting ? they are really awsome .!
They actaully look like they are thinking and planning there next move and stratorgy .!
there eye site is excellent ,reason for there big eyes and cute looks.
they never take prey from the front its always from the back or side even when Im given them bugs/flies they walk around to the back or the side
then WAIT FOR IT ! they jump !!.Well its not jumping really they use Hydraulic pressure .they do not possess extender muscles in there legs
wich would enable them to jump.

the coolest is when they do like a mission impossiable jump to catch there prey in mid air and bring them selfs up to eat it .

Some info on these guys .

They are thecutest spiders I think.
Watched a program about them a while back. They are very intelligent.
Haven't seen any round my parts for ages though :(

I caught one last year - but I let it go about a week later cause it wasn't eating. Very interesting little creatures; It made the cutest little home for itself but is a very nervous little spider. Everytime I came near it, it would go crazy and might I add its VERY fast!!!

That was just my experience with them.

I have thousands in my garden! (Think it is the only spiders I have on my property! LOL!!)

Carpe Diem
