...because it doesn't matter how long you have been doing it, every day there is something new you learn ...

I love this hobby because T's are so strange to humans at this point, one of the few things we know very little about, kinda like the sea, no matter what we do, we don't know what's really going on down there.

I love that so many species exist, and that so little is known about them all, many have not even been classified yet...

I love the reaction you get from the most people when you tell them you keep T's, they either look at you like a freak, or you are rewarded with some awesome conversations.

I love it when I tell someone about T's and they are totally against them and by the end of the conversation, they wanna know where to get one!

I love this hobby because it's actually quite easy to do depending on the species you keep, it lets you live a busy life without needing to worry about them every 5 seconds.

I love this hobby because I can go on holiday for a month and know that when I return, my T's will be ready for breakfast, Lunch and Supper. (For those that don't know, make sure they always have a steady supply of water if you do intend going away.)

I also love it because there are still a few serious aficionados here and there to help you if you hit a stumbling block or problem, and because any like that I have met so far, are great people!

That's just the few I can think of now.

I have a dog. It cr*ps on the lawn every day. This is expected, so I clean up after her. Sometimes I don't see it, step in it, but I still love my dog.

Now the neighbours dog is a different story... I don't ask for it, I don't expect it and therefor don't like cleaning up after the neighbours dog. The motto, make VERY sure your dog does not cr*p on my lawn, I will NOT let my dog cr*p on yours and we can both be happy...

Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...

1. I've met some awesome people during the time that I've been in the hobby. People who I can call my friends, people who I would like to know for the rest of my life.

2. The hobby has taught me that we should look after each other. A previous member "Smithi" has helped me out so much in the past with my collection. Mammon helped me out with roaches and males in the past, and recently with a stunning P irminia female :) Cerat has also helped me get my collection going with a few freebies.

There's always someone to help you.

3. Tarantulas are absolutely stunning. They are easy to keep and always exciting to watch. They grow on you just like a pet. I sold my collection a few months ago because i was spending too much time on t's and not enough on my studies, but parting with them was the worse mistake i could've made. There wasn't a day that i wasn't sad, and i still am. That's why i started again to fill the piece that was missing in my life.

I've had some bad experiences with my t's and with people but the pro's outnumbers the con's :)

I love this hobby because in my opinion this is the most original hobby you can get :)

I feel different and unique when people ask me what pets I have. Instead of saying a dog and a hamster I can name a whole list and right at the end I leave my T's.
