One gets sick to the stomach...

I am just so disgusted, it is hard to put into words.

RE: Two Vets arrested.

A husband and wife, both Vets in Nylstroom, were arrested for killing more than 200 Rhinos thus far this year. Employed as Vets by various game farms, they used an unmarked helicopter to kill these animals and removed the horns only. They will appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday 22 September) and talks are that they might loose their licenses as Vets.

Where is this going? I am a very positive person in general, but what is this world coming to. I know I sound like your grandfather, but honestly.

First we have a six week holiday for the world cup. Then we have a teacher strike. Now pupils are striking, or on the verge of one. The exams are a shambles, the year is gone, yet again the country has lost a year.

I don't even want to go into the quota debarcle in SARU. If teachers, bus drivers, municipal workers, police, nurses, doctors, pupils, train drivers and ministers (to name but a few) can strike at a whim, why can't the rugby loving South African public not have the balls to boycott all SARU games? Just stay the hell away and see where they get the money to continue this farse.

WHY can't those vets have an arm and a leg amputated... ? Human rights you say...?

Sometimes the ridiculousness of things leave me chuckling in disbelief.

Hard to believe that things can get any worse, then someone will find a way to lower the standards even further.

I read the article earlier today. The sad part is that things like this doesnt even shock the public anymore.
People are clubing baby seals for fun, rhinos are killed for a small profit. Have anybody watched the cove? If you havent please do and you'll get a wide awakening of what is happening in the world today.

Just so sad. How do some people sleep at night.

This is really sad and as you all have said, just not getting any better. Very little shocks people in our country to be honest.
This year is gonna be a really bad one with the striking etc. What I just don't get is that the Doctors can strike after signing oaths? Fair enough they want more money etc, but I am sure there are better ways of achieving the desired result without doing what they are doing.

Anyway, this is one topic and debate that can and will go on & on & on........

I fear Scarab that you are going to be even more disgusted by the findings of the court regarding the two Vets ....but lets hope that justice is done!
