I must say that I see Spyker's humour in this...with absolutely no intention of belittleing the dolphin massacre or rhino poaching thing. Humans are funny creatures on any day of the week.

Not too long ago, there was an English gentleman, caught with 3000 adult tarantulas in 2 small suitcases, trying to board a plane from Brazil back to Europe. The spiders were intended for the pet trade. Guess what happened to those tarantulas? Why is it any different for a few dolphins?

I didn't see PETA spamming email inboxes with gruesome images of dead spiders in a suitcase, for everyone to vomit over, while snacking on their tuna sandwhich. (Anyone seen how tuna are caught? Western Atlantic bluefin tuna populations have been driven to the point of extinction by commercial overfishing)
I guess not too many people care if a few thousand tarantulas die? Or how it affects natural populations?

One doesn't always have to wait for someone to spam your inbox before you react to something. Why couldn't you start alerting people to the fact, how can you expect people to care if it goes unnoticed? There was not once in this thread a mention that one living creature is more important than another. Staying quiet is not going to raise awareness and concern, it will be considered as unimportant.
