Mophane Worms have "spikes" on their backs and are a different colour to the one swifty posted.

Hi

It's a Death Head Hawk Moth larvae, Coelonia fulvinotata. They feed on tobacco and tomato plants. And about 10 other types of plants..

I have no idea what to feed it? I tried looking around the area where I found it, couldn't see any trees that looks like it has these beasts in them.
