I realy want know how hard is it to keep Ornamentals? Can some of you nice keepers please give me some good advice on them and are they realy that nasty as some say??

Thanks.

Haha! Very unfortunate, yet common misconception.

Pokies are really calm by nature. I've only been keeping pokies for a little over a year and I have NEVER seen aggression from a pokie (except for a gravid female which is expected from any specie)

Their husbandry also doesn't require much in terms of specificity.

In a nutshell, I give them a 10 out of 10 for ease of keeping, temperament and sheer beauty!

They are awesome Tarantulas, and honestly not hard to keep. Stick to the basics and your pokie will do better than great!

One tip, just don't get bit! You will remember it for a long time...

Like any other spider, treat them with respect and you have nothing to worry about. They much rather prefer flight to fight.
Require very little when it comes to keeping, so no special temperature (I keep mine between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius) and no special humidity requirements either.
A pretty easy spider to keep.

Exactly the same as how I felt when I was getting into Tarantula Keeping :)

Pokies are somewhat of a pleasure to keep. I avoided pokies when i started out and now I'm focusing mainly on them. I have a P. Fasciata (7cm) and few a slings because i sold my collection a while back and just started getting back into it. I have to say that pokies are awesome :D

I thought they'd be hard to keep and control but turns out they rather chill'd (well mine are anyways). Obviously I avoid handling them as I do with any of my tarantulas (except my avic's) and all is good.

You won't be sorry if you get yourself some pokies :D

Edit: Only one I'd say you should avoid is Stromatopelma calceatum (Featherleg Baboon), those are just crazy!!!!
