Let the games begin!!
I had to re-house my female in preperation for her moult. Her new 5 star accommodation is also where she will be conditioned over the next few months in preperation for the wedding.
One can only be in awe of this magnificent creature. They are normally a bit skittish, do not grow to the size of other Poecilotheria and is probably second only to the Poecilotheria subfusca - Highland (Black Backed Ornamental). They grow quit quickly, reaching maturity in about two years. Interestingly, they only start eating in their third instar, unlike most other Tarantula.
So the ritual begins...
