Hey guys.

Hope someone can help me.

We have 2 x P.cambridgeis. Both +/- the same size.

P.cambridgei 1 : Very dull green colour, and VERY AGGRO

P.cambridgei 2 : Has a more shiny bright green, and the orange is more prominent. It's also more fluffy.

Nr 2 :

The photo's doesn't really show the colour difference between the 2.

We would like to know, AND I KNOW IT WONT BE 100% ACCURATE, which one is most likely to be female?

Thanks

With my 2 specimens, the lighter more dull colouration one was the male.
When mature, the male appears to be almost grey with light orange markings.
The female overall more brightly coloured with bright orange marks.

I also noticed that the male (as with many species) have longer slender (with long hairs on his legs) legs that almost moves back over it's carapace (first segment especially) with the female have shorter thicker (with shorter hairs on her legs) legs and appear flatter overall (legs closer to the ground from first segment.

I'm no expert on cambridgei, but from your 2 pics, the 2nd one looks male. I would take a flyer at one more moult till mature.

You definitely don't get a P.cambridgei light or dark form. Its probably just a sales gimmick

(Hehe! I was kind of hoping for a P Cambridgei Lowland/ Highland discussion :P )

My noob guess from looking at many googled pics of M/F would suggest lighter is male, but that's just conjecture.
