Hey eminent dean,
I had a look at your rosea pics but the truth is that the only way to identify the sex of a spider is by examining the exuvium (molted "skin"). Also, a ventral (underside of the abdomen) check is possible but it this method is flawed and is never 100% accurate.
You are correct to say that a mature male will have "hooked out" and has developed bulbs on his pedipalps but it is not safe to assume it is a female if he/she is lacking these tell tale physical signs as the male may have not matured just yet.
I would assume tho, that if your rosea is over 4 years and has NOT developed the male physicality's then it is a female as a male would most likely have matured by now.
Also, besides from the hooks and swollen bulbs, a mature male is usually a lot smaller, has longer legs relative to body size and he will a have a smaller abdomen relative to body size.
I hope this helps!
