Ok so i got my first Poecilotheria fasciata yesterday (Thanks Scarab). Very exciting times! So while driving back home i get to a stand still and i decide to take a little peak at the family member.

I popped the lid and lifted the little piece of bark. OMG! :pinch: Before i can even see it what does it do... it JUMPS! So it lands on my leg try and quickly move the container close to get him back in and nope runs down my crotch. So i am sitting in the drivers seat, and as normal the cars engine is still on.

I get into a position to lift my bum off the seat in case i squash it and slowly drive my car to the side of the road, I turn off engine and lift handbrake! You can imagine all the people looking at me now. :blush:

I eventually started rubbing my hand around the BUM area and the little bugger came around and squeezed himself in one of jeans creases. Got it back in its tub and drove off!

It was a 15 minute stressful battle to make sure i dont lose it and not get bitten as this is my 2nd tarantulas. Sweat was dripping from my forehead!

Just thought i would share this to whoever does not know and is a noob that this poekie sp is way too quick and jumps! :laugh:
