What is the sizes of the Arboreal tanks?

Is that 4mm glass that you used?

@Cascade. It is the normal arboreal enclosures one gets at pet shops. The one with the S calceatum is 200x200x300. The P regalis is 250x250x450. Glass is 3mm thick.

One of my mates made me a nice 300x300x500 enclosure... cant wait to put a pokie in it!!!

One day I might be blessed to make my own enclosures.... at this point I love my fingers way to much

How do you find the space in that size arboreal?
Is height perfect or is to high?
How is cleaning and working from the top in that size of tank?

I was looking at doing tanks 250 X 250 X 350 or 450, 450 high seems a bit to high.

At the moment I have arboreal tanks that are 200 X 200 X 300 the space at the bottom is perfect, but the height is a bit of an issue, adult pokie stretched out almost touches the lid and the substrate.
For Psalmopoeus species it is fine.

I want to give the spiders a nice size cage but also don't want to go over kill and waste space.

@Cascade: I enjoy the height (450). I would say if you have the space then go for that size. Pokies then dont seem so cramped in that space when they mature and big.

Working in the ones that open from the top is fun at best of times and one just has to be careful I guess. The thing I love with pokies is that I find that they will rather hide than defend, so that makes cleaning easier.

All custom made enclosures including the 300x300x500 opens from the front. That will make cleaning much easier.

Hope my input helps :)

Some of my pokie enclosures (P metallica, P miranda, P formosa, P regalis, P ornata, P fasciata and P striata). Some of the others need rehousing.
