My dad mailed me an article regarding a FEI microscope picture competition - article reads as follows:
"In 2012, FEI partnered with National Geographic and invited owners and users of FEI microscopes to submit their best nano-scale images for a chance to win great monthly prizes. From over 230 high-quality submitions, National Geographic and FEI selected 16 monthly image winners to compete for the grand prize of two airline tickets to a United States destination.
To choose a winner, FEI invited the public to vote for their favorite image online. When the votes were tallied "Spider Skin", submitted by Maria Carbajo from the Universidad de Extemadura, was the clear winner."
