Cute close up

Here is a photo of my freshly molted B boehmei.

Hard to estimate size and couldn't really measure as yet. But in the bundled up position, she is now 4cm, where her leg span used to be around 4.5cm. I would guesstimate 5.5 - 6cm leg span.

This morning I discovered some ants decided to make a nest inside my P ornata sling's enclosure.

I had to remove the sling from the enclosure and continued to maul the ants. I hate ants, but I love killing them.

While the sling was in a temporary enclosure, I took this photo. I believe it to be in heavy pre-molt as it hasn't eaten in 2 weeks and move VERY sluggishly during the rehousing efforts. I tried my best not to stress it too much and I believe things went very well.

Interesting to see the claws on its feet. If I've noticed this during the photo session, I would have taken some extreme close-ups. Will remember to do this next time.

You were lucky to find the ants before they did damage to the T Synergy Those things can tear an adult T apart in a matter of hours if you don't catch them in time.

If I were you, I would consider standing the desk or cabinet that house your T's in trays of water like the below from the T Keepers Guide:

Also, a stunning B.boehmi! Mine is slightly smaller, still has to molt and develop colours... Man, they grow so slowly!

I have the rest of my Ts protected. But forgot to move my P ornata sling to the "safe zone". Stupid mistake.

Second mistake in 2 weeks... but still learning I suppose.
