This hobby will never come out of the dark side - we are talking about spiders :evilgrin: :lol: . The problem is not with the hobby but with people's behaviour on a forum - unfortunately this is normal for a forum, it is not a tea club.

I have no issue verifying my ID to a few select mods/owners - but prefer not having it available to the general public.

Combination of Real Name and Nickname is an awesome idea. I have nothing to hide.

I also like Kudu's idea. I have no issue seeing "Spunky", then "Vanessa" at the bottom of it.

I'm just scared that if people see my surname, they are going to start calling me "Bossie" :blush:

I agree.

Good people will do what their told and be team players. Bad people will keep on doing what they want. So in effect you'll only be verifying the good people.

You cannot give out your full names and ID in this country, unless you want to end up being married to a Nigerian! :deal :S
