To be clear, my permit and Hendrik's permit would be different because we have different species and different numbers of each species on our permit. I am not sure on other provinces, but Gauteng doesn't issue "blanket permits" that would say for example: You may keep 10 specimens of all the listed species. The permit would have a specific number of spiders of each species that you are keeping. So if you have a permit for 5 x A.junodi, you may only keep 5 junodi. No more and no less or the permit would be invalid.

That should cover that for the moment.

So, say you had applied for 5 x Pterinochilus murinus (Usambara Baboon) of which you receive, a year later you say you are not allowed to purchase or receive any more?

How does breeding affect the permit? If you get egg sac does not count in amount allowed?

My permit works exactly the same. A permit is only valid for a year and needs to be renewed end of each year. I have two permits, for some reason Parks Board decided it to be easier issuing a new one for additions over the last year, and the previous years which had no changes just renewed it.

You can, but every time that you receive another spider, you need to reapply for your permit. So as soon as I don't own 5 murinus, my permit is invalid.
As Hendrik says, the permit is valid for 1 year, but you can apply for changes to the permit whenever you like, it just means that you need to send in a new application form and pay everytime you reapply. They also ask you where the spider is coming from and you need to supply details of where it is coming from (Name of person, address, reason for having the spider, etc)

I have a keeping permit, so if I want to breed my spiders, I have to apply for a breeding permit. These are not being given at this moment, but hopefully soon.
As was said, each activity (keeping, breeding, transport, etc) requires its own permit.

If there is any changes be it death, additions or breeding you need to reapply for a permit as the old permit is invalid. This is very time consuming and must be motivated. Breeding is still a bit unsure, I had verbal commitment that should I breed them I can apply to donate/sell them to individuals or institutions with valid permits.

Mpumalanga doesn't seem quite as clever as our bunch.
They have realised up here that there are not too many people with permits and it could be hard to donate 200 babies to permit holders.
I am currently trying to donate 5 C.darlingi slings to another user on the site without a permit to see if they will approve a permit to him if I am willing to donate the spiders from my permit. Will be interesting to see where the process goes.
