This isn't really a classified (yet), so hope the mods don't mind me posting here to ask questions.

Some of you know I have recently become a Dad, and we are also currently building on as our house is now too small. Everything was going ok, but the bank took 3 months to approve my loan (it was redone 9 times :blink: ). Due to their stuff ups, they finally gave me 100k, interest free until they sorted it out. When it finally did come through, It was 60k short of what I had asked for. I was so peeved off though, that I just told them to go ahead as I didn't want to wait another 3 months.

Well, other than being 60k short, we are now 40k over budget.. so I am pretty much screwed. Unfortunately I am trying to make ends meet now and looking at what I can do to bring in extra money.

Hence the reason for the post as I am thinking of selling my T's, and want to ask what price I should ask for?

I will take decent photo's tonight as well to show you all, though for now its as follows:

1 x A geniculata: Molted last week, about 10cm (might be bigger, I can never tell), bought ( April 2009 )
1 x B boehmei: ( April 2009 ), though still tiny at 1.5 cm
1 x G rosea(RCF): Was my first T bought from Matt, (Feb 2009 ), and +/-2cm. One of the famous batch that was on TV :laugh:
1 x H incei: Also molted last week, (bought March 2009 ) about 8 cm was my second T.

I want to include the cages as well. A genic, and the rosea are in my 300x200x200 acrylic cages. H incei is in my 300 x 150 x 150 arboreal (living behind a cork bark backing :silly: ) and the B boehmei is is in a 10cm cubed glass cage, But I do have material to makes its 300x200x200 acrylic cage waiting.

I also have a small colony of Madagascan hisser's. It was two I bought and they had babies. One died, but there are about 20-30 of them and all getting to the 5 cm mark right now.

I would really appreciate it if some of you would give me some advice on price? I dont really want to sell, and if its not worth it, I might decide to keep them.

My advice is don't sell. 2 grand if you're lucky wont make a difference to the 100k owing. Rather rent out your wife you should be able to pay off the loan quicker that way... *jokes*

I'm extending my house too as I'm onto my 3rd expected end Jan and kinda know what you are going through. bills...bills...bills.

Have you thought about chatting to a family member or a close friend. Someone who has spare cash or an access bond with funds available to spot you till you sort out your bond.

I know it wont be a lot, though I have a ton of other stuff we are now trying to get rid off (Our telescopes, Lenses, some antique furniture) and so on.

Every little bit starts adding up.. I have seen that with the building now. They say "oh its only R400.00 extra", then another "oh sure, I'll do that, its R200.00) and before you know it.. your sitting on 100k

I have borrowed money from my Dad, and my Wife has also dipped into her student grant money. So we are able to pay for the building.. but now I need to pay all of that back :blush: and I hate owing anyone a single cent

I know how you feel. I have never owed anyone a cent in my life and don't intend to do so in the future. Everything you own is a worldly possession.
When I built my house I built it a big as I could afford and left off many items on the list. When we moved in the furniture was second hand loans or cheap junkmail buys. Over the last six years I have completed almost everything except the shower doors. Sell your possessions they can be bought again. At least you'll have a roof over your family's head and start over. Just think of it a upgrading your possessions to newer better ones.
