Weird web

Hi guys and girls
I've got a quick question. I've been watching my G formosa all afternoon acting strange (scratching it's legs together, etc). My friend suggested that maybe it was preparing for a molt. Then I saw him starting spinning while turning in circles and I figured it was a molting mat(something I've only read about, never seen). He webbed up the entire floor into almost a "hangmat" shaped web. Now he has preceded to climb under it, lying on its back in the molting position holding up the web with its legs :dry: . Is this normal/has anyone seen this before?
