If you T is what it eats then what about feeding feeding your feeders the following. Bobmartin for hairs, redbull soaked crystals for power and stamina, anabolic steroids for size, and specific coloured roots like carrot or beetroot required coloration.

Only problem with this idea is for the T to actualy catch and overpower the cricket since we all know the redbull ads B)

hi. I think that if you make sure that your "food" eats healthy and get all the nutrition they need that should be good for you T's.

Yes, you're quite correct at least 99% of the time. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

But, there are always a few of us who can't leave well enough alone. Thus, we have flat screen, HD TVs instead of jungle drums and $300 (I don't know what that would be in rands) designer jeans instead of smelly, bug ridden, uncured animal hides. :D

However, I hasten to point out that it's only a few of us that do this, and that's a good thing. When experiments go terribly wrong, and they sometimes do, only a very few individuals (TV sets, blue jeans, people, or tarantulas) suffer, and we can chalk it up to learning what NOT to do. Sometimes a failed experiment tells you more than a successful one!

The good news is that, as long as we use a little common sense, fiddling with naturally occurring pigments that are otherwise known to be safe to animals in general, and if we experiment in moderation, the chances are overwhelming that no harm will be done, and "fair to middlin'" that we'll learn something else about these amazing creatures.

Enjoy your little, 8-legged, Frankenstein's monsters! :silly:

Holy crap did you guys get who that was. We should truly feel honored. The author of the tarantula keepers guide just posted the last post. I have their book and it's a 10/10 must have.

Oh, come on people! We're not Gods! If we hadn't written The Tarantula Keeper's Guide, someone else surely would have, only maybe a few years later.

You make it sound like forever! I checked my user profile, it says I joined on June 7, but somehow it seems longer than that.

Please! "Mr. Schultz" was my Dad, and sounds so stuffy and stilted. Even stand-offish. So, "Stan" is just fine.

And, there's no need to kiss our rings or genuflect. :P
