Mites was created by EvaB
Hi all,

I discovered mites in my enclosure and I am extremely unhappy to say the least. I saw 2 jumping off the side of the glass and 3 walking up the glass, springtails and mites ? I think that the humid weather, cutting grass and vacuuming may cause dust to float around with mites in it. I have cleaned the cages and changed the substrate with very dry substrate. There were not a lot of mites and I don't see anything on the T's booklungs or body, so it might be that they were not a lot yet.

Should I remove the T's from the room and spray poison on the skirtings and windowsills ? Should I make another substrate change in a week or two? I nuke the substrate before using it. I am also considering keeping the substrate dry and only misting the glass. What advice or ideas do you guys have ? Keeping the substrate wet seems too much of a risk.

Don't mistake a lack of talent for genius

Its a type of pill bug. You'll find them under rocks in your garden.

Google it for more info :)
