you guys are most probably right

No, they are right, and yes whatever the name is, he is from Cameroon. Some dof ass I know sent him R2500 for "shipping" whatever, still no word after six months.

He sometimes offers Fennec Foxes "for free" if you pay shipment.

Stay away or kiss your buck farewell...

A for Away already! But thanks.

I was looking to buy a Yorkshire terrier for my wife last year and also responded to a "This puppy needs a loving home for free" ad. The reply was also a copy and paste jobby with instructions to transfer a R1500 "shipping" fee.
Originally the person was in Gauteng, but when I offered to collect personally, the reply stated that the person was in PE.

google mapped the address and it was a shop, the person disappeared after I said family of mine can collect as they stay in PE.

I reported them and was on an active quest to report as many of these fraudulent ads. but it is a waste of time really. Just ignore it.

Sad part is, they wouldn't keep on placing ads if they weren't successful.

I wanted a pair of fennec foxes and this guy advertised in the junkmail, same story, I only have to pay for the transport.
He lived in Sandton but moved to...CAMEROON! I asked him what about quarantine and he said they've already been through it,
they wouldn't have to go through quarantine again on their way back to South Africa . To make a long story short, the fool
made the mistake of mixing up his phone numbers for the ads in the different regions and when I asked him why the numbers differ
he said it was his friends' number. He got very agitated with all my questions and refused to answer my emails later on. :silly:

It is jolly good fun though  ...bugging these people, not the scamming part.

@Frootbat

I reckon if a bunch of us gang up on these morons, we can irritate the hell out of them.
Might not get them back on the straight and narrow, but will be hella fun :D
Might just move onto some else to scam with, instead of livestock.

Hey all,
I just received the following mail after responding to an advert I saw on Junkmail:

Hello
Thank you for the interest in my tarantula spiders.
I have the following spiders left.
3 Poecilotheria metallica
4 king baboon
2 ornamental baboon
5 pink toe
4 mexican red-knee
6 cobalt blue
4 Green Bottole Blue

I am not selling them anymore,
rather i am giving them out for free because of my job with the UNO. i am a
little too busy and can not continue keeping the spiders,
So how many of them do you want?.
Yes i can ship them to you.
all you need to do is to give me the following
- your full names
-your city
-zip code
-house address
-mobile phone number

I will register the spiders to your names and address at a competent
pet delivery and the spiders will be delivered to you at your house.
Note that you will pay for the shipping cost.
It will cost 150USD (1030 Rands) to ship 1 up to 5 spiders.
waiting to read from you so that i can register the spiders and send
them tomorrow

best regards

Looking at that list I almost wanna take the whole lot. But things to consider are: This is clearly someone not in South Africa and I'd be concerned about shipping a T from afar. Secondly, How sure could i be that I'd receive the Ts if I were to purchase 5 of them (this is more rhetorical I think). And lastly, Glancing at that list Im concerned about the legality of some of those she has...

What do you guys think?

Tell him you have a friend that travels alot - 'ME', and ill come pick them up in which every country he is in :) Lets see what he has to say then.
