This is my first time mating the peruvian flame rump. Except my female(mature) refuses to have anything to do with my male(mature). I have now tried about 10 times and everytime the male taps but the female wants nothing to do with it. I have not seen this in any of my breading pairs before.

Any advice would do.

I assume she has been in that enclosure for some time and that she is well set in?

Yes shes been in there for about 2 months or so.

When did she last moult?
Best to try her 2 or so months after.
I mated mine last year May month with lower temps.
I tried him twice a week for 3 week's and he finally got an insertion.
Then I heated her up to about 30 deg Celsius.
Worked for me.

I mated mine a few weeks ago and also battled for a long time, eventually I let the male stay in her enclosure over night, took him out and did it again twice. On the third time they mated. The problem with this method is, you can not protect your male.
