I met a gentleman this afternoon who is moving to the coast and he wants to sell his T's.

All are adults and he has told me to make him an offer.

I'm interested in his G. Rosea adult female and his C. Cyaneopubescens adult female. He told me he doesn't want to make a lot of money, but he obviously wants a bit of money for them.

Do you have any recommendations on what I should offer him for the two? I want a bargain, but do not want to lose this awesome opportunity, and most of all don't want to insult the man.

he is the seller - he should tell you what he wants. You can either accept or reject what he wants for them.

Think about it though, there aren't many options open to him. You, junkmail maybe, forums like this - not many options available for someone who is desperate to sell. I would say you have the upper hand just by default.

Ask him what he wants so you can get a ballpark figure.

The prob is, I would have absolutely no idea if he was taking me for a ride. He could say R1000 and I counter offer R800, he accepts and I still get ripped off. Is there no "going rate" for MF C. Cyaneopubescens?

As many have said n the Forum "A tarantula is only worth what you are willing to pay for it" Maybe make the guy an offer for about R500 for the Chilean Rose as G. Rosea is quite common and maybe R750 to R850 for the Green Bottle Blue. Otherwise offer him what you are willing to pay.

If both are indeed MF, I'd say R1500.00 would be a good price for both. Anything less would be a bargain. Get a complete list of what he has for sale on this thread and if other people are interrested to buy the rest you can make him an offer on the whole lot
