You don't get a "blue phase' Brachypelma albopilosum.
It's another selling method, to get them sold and for more money!
It's the way they look. They usually look like that after a moult. They become darker in colour as they get older.
Some of the blue will be more dominate in some of the Brachypelma albopilosum than others.

The Brachypelma species is a very colour full species and almost like velvet sheen.
The thing is we don't spend enough time studying our Tarantulas. They have some amazing colours that we don't know of and this species is one of them if you take your spiders outside in the sun and get them moving and maybe a threat pose or two you will see some really stunning colours on them.
The Brachypelma vagans also looks like it’s got blue legs when it’s smaller.

My Cyclosternum fasciatum mature male had stunning deep blue (so black it was blue ) legs after the ultimate molt. It was like that until it died while breeding.

i am sure it is blue because i saw the mature male with my own eys, you may agree but non were near a molt, i have curlys i know how they look after a molt but this was something diffrent, like a glitter blue, my friend is sending him monday, all in pretoria is welcome to come and look for yourself on monday.

To true Cascade. I have a 8cm Thrixopelma Ockerti that has just gotten it's adult colours an on closer inspection, it has a slightly blue/purple Thorax. I thought it was wicked.
