I have noticed a few times that some Individual Tarantulas don't fit in with their "Nature". I have seen P. Cancerides as docile as a Curly and Chaco Golden Knees actively flick hair. My most aggressive tarantula happens to be a Curly Hair, which are supposed to be docile. He flicks a lot of hair and rears up in defense. My second most aggressive would have to be my P. Cancerides. He will literally bite multiple times into my plastic forceps leaving small holes and a little bit of venom behind. So I was wondering what your most aggressive T is and if it is one of those that don't follow their "Nature".

My curlies like biting at the forceps, but I don't handle any of my Ts, so the only thing entering their enclosure is the forceps when I clean and the food. So they tent to bite it.
My one curly clung on the forceps for dear life, had trouble getting it to let go without hurting it.

My P cambridgei's are feisty, as well as my P irminia, but they are expected to be so.

I would say the most surprising is the Eupalaestrus campestratus, which is supposed to be thee most docile T, but she kicks hair like crazy. only a few days after a molt and she will already have a bald spot.

Did you try to handle it before it matured?

Probably because he is quit anxious for something. As far as I know most Male T get aggressive when they mature.

I had a MM P. cambridgei who was a lamb most of the time... and then I've got this one cambridgei juvie that is the fiestiest T' I've got by a good margin. At least as long as it feels it's got the upper hand :laugh:

The subadult G. pulchripes female has a fiesty attack when hungry after a moult. She actually jumped up high at my forceps a couple of times, mistaking it for food.
