I just want to know how much do you guys pay for a container of crickets??

Price in Richards Bay: R36

Personally I think this is over priced - oh and might I add, half of the damn crickets come dead!!!

I have tried buying a colony of roached but unfortunately the entire colony arrive dead and I don't have the money to buy another one...

So please if you guys have any suggestions please share them... :dry:

Are the crickets from crickets for africa?
I had a problem with their crickets and stopped buying from them. I would normally get home from buying them and when i managed to put them into a bigger container there would be atleast half of them dead in the bottom.
I now get no name crickets at a petshop in Centurion. R140 for a 5l tub of adults. I have never had the patience to count them, but i guess there are around 300 crickets in. Always very healthy and max 5 dead crickets in a tub.

@suzi. If the roaches arrived dead the seller should give you a full refund or possibly ask you to pay postage and replace the order free of charge.

They have a definate issue with their crickets. Quality seems to be going down drastically.

I am quite surprised that the person didn't offer to send you a new colony. I would expect it to tell you the truth.

I agree, Crickets for Africa quality has DEFINATELY gone down. The sad part is that its the only source of food that I can get for my T's...

I thought the person would do the same but unfortunately people aren't like that anymore.... *shaking head*
