Precisely! After that the evaporation from the water dish will maintain the humidity at a somewhat elevated level
that remains mostly constant. This system works worlds better than trying to mist the cage, and it doesn't annoy the tarantula anywhere near as much. :laugh:

@ Stanley. It make sense. Pretty much self controlled humidity. Obviously you wouldn't have to fuss so much about the humidity and misting the cage.

@ evertb. I must apologise. I checked the cages that Lunchbox manufacture out yesterday and must say that is definitly not the ones I though about when I said stay away from acrylic. Those are very nice!
