Hi I have left over bark wood chips from my snakes subsrate and I want to put some in my C. cyaneopubescens enclosure, is it a good idea? Would it be a good idea to use that as climbing spots

Not so sure but i have read in another post that most people say to avoid wood chips. Like i said not to sure. I use drift wood for some of my arboreal T's and plastic decor is also an option!

The feeder insects hide under the wood chips and eventually die, so it will be difficult to keep your inclosures clean and mite free.

The simplest way to describe any Tarantula enclosure would be P.P.P...

If you stick to this basic formula in different variations, you can hardly go wrong.

P - Peat: If your spider burrows, more, if it does not, less.
P - Perch: If terrestrial, low down, if arboreal, extended to the top.
P - Plant: Use a low light plant, water as if a potted plant.

Try this with a pinch of common sense and Bob's your new Uncle...

My father used to say, "Don't do as I do, do as I say..."

Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...

@ Scarab - What would be a good low light
plant to use. The last thing I would want to do
is stick some thing in my T's cage that can do
it harm.

I'm currently using small plastic plants stappled
to bark chips that I bought at O2. Now that I
think about it, you just said that bark chips are
bad. Beter go take them out right away.
