Synergy, your Boheimi is obese, just like my T's. My T's ONLY eat crickets. I've tried feeding roaches twice with no success..

Driklord, when I "converted" to Roaches, some of my slings refused to eat them.
so I just left them for a week or so and tried again.
Now all of them is eating roaches.

Some of my slings like the grammostola rosea also looks like that, but I only feed it twice a week with a roach half the size of her abdomen.

Theex, I have a tiny B. boehmei that refused roaches. I had to wait for 2 weeks, now it's a happy roach eater, just like everybody else

my B. boehmei is now about 5cm.
It also refused them, but as you said wait a week or two then they happily eat roaches.

before i introduced any of my ts to roaches i left them all for 2 weeks to make sure they were all hungry! not one of them are fussy about what gets put infront of them

we as humans eat three meals a day (usually not inc binge sessions etc) - I feed my t's every 3 - 5 days (slings three) and give crickets appropriate to size of T. The T then helps itself (or not) Quite a few of my younger T's are quite fat but how do we determine if it should or should not eat - I am not having a hungry T standing with hands on hips wanting dinner. Is this not a type of baby fat like teenagers get :lol: My bigger T's do not seem overweight.

One time feeding - my T.giga dived to the top of the tank while I was putting crickets in,I thought she was trying to get out and nearly closed the lid on her head.( I use a little plastic tub to catch and distribute the crickets - so had the tub in the top shaking the dinner out) She grabbed a cricket and went back down - heart failure over
