I was busy photographing my Avic purpurea on my water feature when she suddenly decided to cross the raging water...



Initially it looked like she was going to walk on water as she 'tested' it....




But she immediately realised she would be swept away and improvised walking UNDER the fast flowing water!




Amazing!





Till she emerged on the other side and continued on...





p.s please excuse the out of focus ones as she caught me by surprise and they were handheld in lowish light :silly:

My Poecilotheria regalis , has a nice way of saying its not hungry..

If I chuck meal worm or cricket that it does not want..
90% of the time I will find them dead , in a pile .In
her water dish...

Other than that.. The rest of my T's have lost their personality in their last molt

My B. Albopilosum attacks the jet of water from my spray bottle. I know this is normal behavior, but most Ts stop once they realize its just water. This little bugger follows my hand when its above his enclosure and the moment I spray he jumps in the air (not very high) and tries to catch the spray in mid flight. Even given him a pray item before spraying does not stop him from jumping at the spray. Its like a dog biting the jet of a garden hose

Needless to say, he is soaked at the end of this exercise.

Bwahaha! Interesting stuff coming out! Those Avic.Purpurea photos are outstanding Taki, the last place you would imagine seeing an avic is under water...

Reminds me of my Heteroscodra Maculata that decided to hide under a rock one afternoon, a rock that was inside it's water dish, and was hiding upside down, under the water!

My one G. pulchripes made a large burrow about a week ago with no exit what so ever. I'm leaving it to see where it eventually makes an exit.

And Blade's B. albopilosum thinks that its a bulldozer crossed with a rabbit. It has dug holes and tunnels like a maze through its entire enclosure. I'll ask him to post some pics tomorrow.
