can someone please help me explain this. after molting earlier this week she had this pink sore on her abdomen. photo taken yesterday. just found her dead.
it is so sad. please help me make sense of this loss.

On chatting to Lissie last night and looking at the pictures. second picture shows a bit more detail.

If you look under leg 8 on the right hand side of the abdomen, you will see that the abdomen tore open, it looks like a shadow at first but if you look closer you will see the "pink sore" abscess/bubble on the abdomen.

I agree with cascade. Also had a close look. Would seem either the abdomen tore in the molting or it just had a growth inside that was exposed after molt.

Really sorry for your loss . is very unfortunate a 1 in a million bad luck situations.
