Cool.. so I will get teh Blatta Lateralis (Turkish Roach) for now until T gets a bit bigger.

Then go over to Blaptica Dubia ... got good reviews from them as well.

First stop is see if my local shop has them

You can control a colony supply:demand with temperature!! Roaches need 26` and above to breed successfully all my roaches are kept at 28`-35` if i want the breeding to slow down i just turn the heaters off. easy as that

I recommend Oxhaloa Deusta from saroachman.co.za, they breed VERY fast and you don't need to wait six months before you can start feeding the offspring to your T's.

The young are tiny +/- 3mm, and can even be fed to smaller slings.

What I do is take about 20 or 30 of the newly hatch roach babies and put them in a separate container where I leave them to grow into the next generation of adults, and I use the rest of the babies in the main colony to use for feeding.

Adults are big enough to feed your T's up to 10cm or so, after that you might want to start using Blatta Lateralis and Blaptica Dubia or anything that grows bigger.

My Blaptica Dubia adult females are about 5cm in size now, nice and big and great for feeding bigger T's.

Once you have any colony of Roaches running steady, you will hardly ever have to buy feeders again.

OK... I managed to get some turks and they are doing pretty well.

I had a thought though and wanted to see what you guzys think:

Has anyone ever tried of using multi vitamins on roaches? something like calmag C (Calcium Magnesium) or even Centrum?
