I have tarantulas for last 17 years. Last few years I mate some and sell spiderling. I have only one rule when I sell them. Before someone buy sling from me I lend that person tarantula keepers guide (I have 5 copyes) for week so people with no experience can see that if they want to have healthy T have really take good care of it. Everything else is torture to animal.

Wow! Thank you so much for the compliment! And, your idea is probably a very good one, even if it is a bit cumbersome. At least your customers can't say they never had a chance to learn.

Keep up the good work!

I can just picture the Guy sitting reading hes reply, and thinking to himself, who is this Stan that is giving me such a colorful lecture? (since he is so new at the hobby):P

Some good feed back for the guy, very interesting how some people just get the idea and do not put a single thought in doing research and just making sure they know what they are doing and what are the does and don't do.

The best part, is that everyone tells this person how much is wrong with EVERYTHING he/she is doing, and then comes back blowing off everything everyone said and continues to ask about the sperm web which he would know more about if he/she does what everyone is saying! READ!

ROFL...

I am afraid some people are just to darn stubborn. Nay. Stupid.

I like Shaka's reply:

@Stanley A. Schultz that thread really made me cheer up LMAO. Even Theist 17 the "enthusiastic" newbie gave him a run. Luckily my G.rosea (rcf) female is mated and happy :)

I would have teased him big time about a sperm web. "What's a sperm web - a web made just out of sperm"

I seriously hope he decides to buy the TKG, mine has coffee stains and what not on it. Thanks mom for making me baby sit you in hospital after the back operation, it gave me time to read through the book, and for me to jot-down a few notes I needed.

@Stanley A. Schultz "you should do some online lecturing and charge per session, you will make a killing :)

I like "coffee stains and what not!" It means you've had it out at least looking at it if not actually reading it. It wasn't merely gathering dust on a bookshelf. "Yea!" for our team!

Several years ago Marguerite (my wife and the other co-author) also endured a back operation and a lot of problems with recovery. I did more than half of the rewriting, editing, and copy editing while sitting next to her hospital bed, and later next to her bed in the nursing home, before submitting the semi-final manuscript to the publisher.

I also did a lot of the work on extended lunch breaks in a Wendy's Restaurant across TransCanada 1 from Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

@Stanley A.Schultz My mom had her back operation last year. I don't know who was more scared, seeing as she is a Night matron at Kloof Mediclinic "almost like a 5 star hotel hospital with the best neurosurgeons. Luckily all went well in the end, it is just the first 3 weeks after the operation that is a living hell.

it's just a coincidence that you wrote the book and I read the book under the same condition/time. I have to thank you for helping me through the time while helping my mom recover, and me for gaining all the knowledge you shared among all the research you did through all the years.

Thank you
Kind Regards
Leonard
