Hello tarantula people

My l parahybana is walking with erratic, struggling leg movements. It looks like the t can't walk slowly/carefully, the legs move fast and gets lifted up quite high whenever it moves. Sometimes I almost get the idea it's trying to get rid of something that got stuck to it's feet/tarsi. I am scared that it might have Dyskinetic Syndrome or something.
Maybe it is just because it is in pre-molt. It is currently in pre-molt and from some sources I've see certain T's do behave in this way when they are going to molt. This is my first Salmon Pink. It's about 6cm. It's ass is almost entirely beige already.

The temps are normal joburg summer temps. slightly cooler in the room where it's kept than it is outside during the day and slightly hotter than outside during night. It has a large surface-area water bowl and the peatmoss is kept barely moist, almost dry, so i dont know what the humidity is, but im sure it's fine.

I'm sure someone is familiar with this behaviour. Any help appreciated.

Not sure if the movements mine make are the same as yours, but it almost looks like mine are on horse parade, legs up high, feeling for something in mid-air? Mine do it frequently, pre and post-molt, but afterwards they act more relaxed. It never looks like they are suffering though, temper is normal, eating is normal, so I've dismissed mine as just T's being T's ...

Sounds like it has Dyskinetic Syndrome

Does it look like this?

yes.
it's much more mobile, much faster. it seems agitated and scared. it's body doesn't drag like that pokie, but the leg movements are just like that in the video. discordant and erratic.
f*ck.

From what you have described it does sound like early stages of DKS. Fast shutter like movements like a robot moving really fast is a clear indication. Not much you can do for the T im afraid. in some cases the T comes right after a molt but it is rare as the coordination needed to is just not there and T ends up injuring itself. Sorry dude all you can do is wait.

Just out of interest has anything in your T room changed? Think of anything and everything. A new detergent or something you bought . Anything that you don't normally do
