If you are going to say that they are not invasive, I hope that once you decide what species you will be importing, you do proper Environmental Impact studies to make sure that they are not invasive.
It is quite a costly exercise and will probably take a few months to a year I guess, if not longer.

I would still be surprised if they issue you with an import permit as many have tried in the past and every one has been turned down.

Yes it is expensive but will make all the money back, it will be around 2 months to finalize all the paper work if I can find a supplier. We work very closely with nature conservation so follow all the rules strictly and the animals welfare comes first.

@anne, I second Shane's request for Pamphobeteus ultramarinus. Beautiful specimen!!!

I hope you come right with this endevour, I really do. To get it done legally is obviously the only way and having more species to pick from can never be a bad thing IMO.
I understand all of Cerat's points against it and it does warrant some research though.
Best of luck and put me down for the obove mentioned T if you do come right ;)
