Best way to House many slings...?
Rendering Error in layout Widget/Module: array_unshift(): Argument #1 ($array) must be of type array, null given. Please enable debug mode for more information.
in all your experience, what is the best temperature and humidity to house many slings at? and what in your experience are the maximums of both temp and humidity you can keep slings at?
I am wanting to adapt some units I used when I was breeding snakes - once I have perfected it for slings, I will share
well If you have a heating pad for winter they will be fine and also if you keep there substrate nice and moist you got it.
in summer no need to heat the will be fine
but still got to keep the substrate moist
unless its a specail designed Ts thats got special needs
Yea small slings like to burrow and sorts and moist substrate not only allows them to burrow easily it also helps in their regular molting!
Temp i keep at just above room temp but never exceeding 28c, humidity about 70-80 and never below 60. Just ensure that the unit/cup you keep them in isn't swimming in water/heavily condensed with water droplets on the sides as the T's can drown.
I feed them either pinheads or pre-killed crickets twice a week, depending on there molt cycle.
Search the internet for more information and i expect sling care vary from species to species.
PS: I am not posting here, it's a figment of your imagination.
Only thing I can say that is a problem with have alot of slings
and haven to stack deli cup containers ontop of each other
is the chance of droping or bumping them over ?!!
wich im talking from experaince I have had a couple full and it s not entended from my side it just does
So if you going to house many a slind in deli cups the best would be to only stack them two high or just flat
Or put them in a box so they dont fall over ???
Obviously the specie of the slings will determine the optimal temperature and humidity levels needed.
In my opinion, only Avic slings need very special care. Other slings (Brachypelmas, Gramastollas, Nhandus etc) should be kept just like you would your other larger T's.
As Cascade mentioned - a heating pad should be more than enough during the coldest nights in winter.
