I got a 5cm B.Boehmei about 2 weeks ago and I must say that I am absolutely in love with it. Not shy at all and eats like a maniac. :chainsaw:

Last night I observed it rubbing its rump (bottom and top) with its hind legs in a slow motion. The rubbing went on for quite some time. This got me curious. Ive googled a bit and found very little about this behavior. Is the T grooming itself?

Ive watch T's alot but I've never seen any of my other T's (B.Albiceps and B.Klaasi) :eyepoke:

I have a B.klaasi that does that but just one or two rubs and that's it.

I actually figured he's laying a "barrier" of urticating hairs on the webbing at the entrance of his burrow for defense. I've read somewhere that they sometimes do that.

Makes sense. Wonder if they do this before molting. Did your T molt soon after doing that?

I have 9 T's in different sizes and notised that the bigger they start to get the more frequent I saw them grooming. Slings I never saw doing it.
Also did it for a long time.
