Agreed... I left them in the enclosure and to my surprise I'm seeing that the N. chromatus eats... the A. metallica eats.. yet my L. difficilis is still questionable but feel that the advise here will help. At least he's still eating crickets! hehe... I am thinking in time he will adapt too. BTW.. I love your sig @Swifty ...gotta remember that one!

So the spiders will dig for these! That's good. I have noticed that, to my relief, the roaches tend to prefer hanging around on the hides' walls and other items in the enclosure rather than burrowing. 2 of my T's have accepted these as food, but not convinced that Leo, (my LD) is convinced it's food yet. Working on it!

More likely a timing issue when the T is not wanting to eat anything, when it's not taking the roaches have you tried a cricket at the same time? I think it probably won't take the cricket either..... very unlikely not to have a 'taste' for roaches in my opinion

Yes, I tried a cricket at the same time and no luck, so I can just guess he's plain not hungry yet. I'll be so happy when he's busily munching away like the others! LD's usually have fantastic appetites... Thank you Taki!

I feed all my T's roaches, currently I have a huge mixed colony of lobsters, hissers and dubia which are busy breeding themselves out of house and home... The only T I have that flat out refuses to take any of these is a Lasiodora parahybana that Swifty sold me. It's close to mature and full of nonsense, will only eat crix.
My feeling is if I starve it long enough it will probably stop being a picky eater as I really dont see why everybody else will chearfully zap a roach but this silly thing appears to "gril"
Incidently, the best part of roaches is the slings and juvies who will happily take down a nymph as big as they are, poor little chaps have to stand on tip-toe just to position the roach right to eat it!!!
@ Swifty, my Stromatopelma is a digger for roaches, and will happily mine any burrower out of the substrate any time (so long as its dark), fun to watch with the T torch!

Thanks Inyanga, this morning my LD still refuses roaches although the other two will eat them. Right now he's in his hide (so is the roach with him) and trying to avoid it as they share the same hide! Go figure he'd be the one to make friends with his food....
