Have you seen your spider drinking water?

I fail to see why something so simple and cheap as a water dish isnt used in tarantula enclosures. Its rather baffling to think rainforest species are in danger of drowning or in no need of a water supply. Try a mature male with and without water and you'll see a huge difference in longevity.
I've seen plenty of tarantula drinking, some pounce as soon as water is poured into their bowl.
Ive also seen plenty of tarantula suffer problems with moults where dry and water barren enclosures have been evident.
If the water bowl is a fraction of the cost of the tarantula then IMO there really is no excuse.
Eve, my big P.murinus faceplanting her water bowl !
all of mine have some form of water.. if they're too small for a proper resin bowl, they get a bottle cap (they cost nothing)
i don't know/care if they do or don't drink a lot, but it's good to have it
i've not seen some of my snakes drinking, it doesn't mean i won't give them water
