Uncle Charlie's M balfouri communal attempt

I was fortunate enough to buy some M balfouri slings today at the expo. The idea behind buying them is to start my own communal project. I have read Scarabs M balfouri thread but still feel very nervous about the whole matter. Much more research will be done on my behalf.
The first step would be re introducing the 1cm slings. Would a standard 10cm cube be big enough or is that to big? I did speak to some guys at the expo but more input wont harm anyone.

"You don't have to eat many mangos to have a nice mango, just take good care of your mango and it will be nice!"
Ive been on a couple of forums now and the main reason for people being against the whole communal idea seems to be financially.
I guess if I wanted to keep them seperate I would not have purchased so many... so the only thing left for me to do is add them all together and hope that they are a social bunch.
Still the remaining question is the starting size for 5 little 1cm spideys... would the 10cm cube be fine... or is the 7cm cube better or can I add them into something slightly bigger?

The only issue i have with communals is that you cant monitor easily is which of your slings is eating and which is not, but that being said i take it your cube is 10cm squared, i would say a 15cm cube would be best..... gives your 5 spiders space so they not cramped on each other if they want space, i know with Poecilotheria communals if its to cramped they will eat each other.
